Microsoft releases sexy Bing app for iPad

Posted by admin on May 21, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
It’s still a bit odd seeing Microsoft deliver apps for Apple’s mobile platform. And it’s even stranger still to see one as sexy as the new Bing app for iPad, which brings a slick, immersive search experience to Apple’s tablet. Just as a regular search on bing.com will, the Bing app for iPad tailors the results it displays based on what you’re searching for. There are loads of custom views, covering everything from movies and maps to weather and shopping. The app also offers a heads-up display of currently trending searches, complete with related images,...

Woman Returns Lost iPhone, Is Rewarded with a Brutal Beating [Crime]

Posted by admin on May 21, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
Losing an iPhone is the absolute worst. The inconvenience, the expense… Just terrible. So, when a good samaritan gets in touch to let you know she’s found your phone, the appropriate response ought to be gushing, gurgling gratitude. Right? webOS 3.0 beta now available to developers

Posted by admin on May 21, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
With the webOS 3.0 SDK available for almost two months, HP has now given developers access to a beta download of webOS 3.0 — which powers the upcoming TouchPad and will likely ride along on HP desktops and laptops in the form of an emulator. Right now, the webOS 3.0 beta is only available to Early Access developers. The crew at PreCentral states that HP appears to have eased up on access restrictions, however, so hopefully more devs will get on board and those of you who are planning to buy a TouchPad in the next couple months will have plenty of slick webOS 3.0 apps to install on...

Code Clues Reheat Google Tablet Rumors

Posted by admin on May 21, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
Murmurs about Google’s supposed plans to launch its own tablet soon are growing to a roar. Source code from Google and Samsung indicate that a Nexus tablet is in the works, Slashgear reported. “It seems logical that it will be a Google Nexus device consistent with the Nexus smartphone, but the problem is there’s nothing unique about the Nexus smartphone,” suggested Andrew Eisner, director of community and content at Retrevo. Flip-Book Business Cards Are an Incredibly Tedious Way To Promote Yourself [Video]

Posted by admin on May 21, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
Handing someone a well-designed business card that’s clever, even humorous, is a great way to promote yourself. But handing someone a giant poster and asking them to slice it up into 100 cards to create a flip-book animation? That all but guarantees you a spot on the unemployment line. Best Buy changes its tune, has no idea when the EVO 4G LTE is shipping

Posted by admin on May 21, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
Can't say we're overly surprised to see this one, but it doesn't make it any less disappointing. Best Buy early today sent ?another? e-mail to customers who preordered the HTC EVO 4G LTE, saying that, whoopsie, it doesn't actually know when the Customs hold will lift and the EVO will be allowed to ship. This comes less than a day after Best Buy got hopes up by saying May 23 was the new target date, which was quickly followed by HTC telling us it had nothing new to announce. So, yeah. And yes, there are plenty of "insider" sources feeding possible dates,...

What?s Big, Blue, Hopes To Save Our Planet And Is Not Facebook?

Posted by admin on May 21, 2012 in Uncategorized | 0 comments
There have been a lot of complaints voiced over the last couple of years from people who wish entrepreneurs would address the world’s “real problems” or do “something bigger” rather than create “me too” applications and websites. I’m not a fan of that sentiment but that’s really a whole other post I need to write. In all honesty, there’s a place and need in the world for all sorts of business visions – big and small. And after watching a “big vision” TED talk from a few years ago, it has changed my life. Jane...
